The PRE1 is a dedicated analogue preamplifier designed to sit between source components and a separate power amplifier, keeping switching and volume control away from the high-current output stage.
It provides balanced and unbalanced inputs, a low-noise moving-magnet phono section and two independently buffered pre-outs. A relay-switched resistor ladder handles volume adjustment for consistent channel balance at low listening levels.
